Since its humble beginnings in 2017, Launch Your Daydream has gone through many changes over the years. To give you the full picture for where we are now, let’s take a walk down memory lane…
(It’s okay if you want to cringe at the tackiness of our first brand. Have you ever seen a more perfectly matched wardrobe?! I am still triggered by the color yellow to this day. 😅)
Our look and feel changed over time with new photo shoots, but we never let go of that hot pink. 😉
After Ben Hartley asked us to customize a Tonic Template for his education website, we saw an opportunity…
When you find something that works, you stick with it! I think we were both feeling a little burnt out from fully custom designs for the previous 5 years, so focusing on template customizations just felt right. It also allowed us to highlight other designers AND to create a much quicker turnaround time for our clients.
We constantly like to make sure one thing is clear—everything’s fine with us! We still talk every day! 😂 (In fact, Britt still works with LYD clients by providing SEO strategy—more on that later.) But, as life and business evolved over the years, Britt decided to take on a new opportunity and I felt ready to take on LYD by myself.
A few months after announcing that I was taking over LYD, it hit me—this business is ALL MINE now. 🤯 While I’ve always felt personally connected to the LYD brand, it’s represented the TWO OF US as a team for the past 5+ years. The idea of recreating the brand to truly represent ME felt exciting.
This also felt perfectly aligned with what was happening in my personal life. Over the past couple of years, I’ve gone through a lot of big changes and have been on a journey of self-discovery (more on that here!)—it’s become increasingly important to me to be true to myself and to not hold back when presenting myself to others. So that’s what this rebrand is all about. I hope that you see a bit more of who I am now, and I hope that you like it. (But if you don’t, that’s cool too! Don’t hire me then. 😉)
Shout out to Erin of The Happy Brand Studio for creating my amazing branding, Brooke Dainty for the kickass photography, and Amanda Grazioli for helping me with my words!! I never would have launched this rebrand without them.
xo,
Kelsey
