New Brand + Showit Website Launch — Kara Evans Photographer in Bourbonnais, Illinois

[Reading Time: 3 minutes]

Take a peek at photographer Kara Evans brand update and Showit website!

If you know her, you love her. If you don’t know her, get ready to love her. We couldn’t be more excited to announce the new brand + website for Kara Evans Photographer!

We love when we get to work with past clients another time around! Kara originally rebranded with us in 2016 but since then, her business has shifted and her brand has evolved. It’s completely normal to feel the need to upgrade your brand over the years as you grow with it. (You may have noticed we’ve already changed our branding since first launching, too!)

Brand Design with Kelsey

After working through the Discovery Phase with Kara, we determined that we wanted her brand aesthetics to feel modern, feminine, mature, natural, joyful, welcoming, and fun. If you know Kara, you know that these words are spot-on in describing her work and the amazing experience she creates for her clients!

Overall, we wanted to take the essence of Kara’s previous brand and elevate it. If you’re familiar with her old aesthetic, you will definitely agree that this new look is a “grown up” version of her previous brand! We even kept some of the same fonts and colors so as not to introduce a shocking/irrelevant change, but rather to make things feel like they had just evolved.

For example, we swapped out a playful, bouncy script font for a more modern, feminine script. In her color palette, we replaced the soft turquoise with a bold emerald green and introduced a deep charcoal neutral to balance things out. As far as graphics go, we love the velvet textures used throughout Kara’s brand as well as the accent paint strokes, which you’ll see featured throughout her website. These accents help bring in the unique creative touch that is SO essential to Kara’s brand.

Kara’s new Showit website has taken her brand to the next level — and we couldn’t love it more! This new site allows Kara’s photography portfolio to be front and center and really highlight her color palette in beautiful, natural ways.

You’ll also notice that we kept the interaction going on Kara’s site! What’s a new website without something fun for clients to do, right?! 😉 Not only will Kara’s dream brides and business mentorship clients be able to read all of the content and view her portfolio, but they can also click through some highlighted blog posts and even fun facts about Kara! Our goal was to make sure Kara’s clients really feel like they know her (and love her!) before they even fill out the contact form on her Contact Page.

Now, let’s see Kara’s new brand…. ready!?

Congratulations, Kara!! We love you!

PS: Are you feeling that you’re ready to upgrade your brand and website, like Kara just did!? We would love to work with you!
