Last week, we talked to you ALL about our brand design process when you work one-on-one with us.

After the brand design process is complete, it’s time to move to the website design process with Britt!

At this point, your core brand aesthetics are all approved by you and ready. Once Kelsey sends an email to you with these final brand files, that’s Britt’s cue to jump in and begin the website design process.

Remember when we talked about the brand discovery phase where you complete a questionnaire? In that questionnaire, we include questions about your current website and what you’d like to see for your new website.  This goes into detail like your goals for your website, pages to include and even things NOT to include.

Having this information in our back pocket is essential to making sure your website is designed with intention.

Now, it’s time to start gathering your content! If you’re a photographer, it’s usually pretty easy to drop images right into Dropbox. If you’re an event planner, florist, or another type of wedding professional, making sure you ask for permission to use photos (even if they are of your work) is super important! We’ll credit those photographers right on your website.

The scariest part of all of this for most of our clients, you ask? The website copy. It’s HARD to talk about yourself! After all, how do you know what specific information you need on your website to book that dream client?! Deep breaths, girl. We’ll talk about all of this and how you can craft a copy and website structure that really speaks to that ideal client and helps you achieve your business goals.

Still not quite ready to craft that website copy yourself? We have an answer for that, too! We have Shannon on our Dream Team available for copywriting, if you’re interested in adding that to your one-on-one package.

Once all the copy is ready, Britt will go in to design a first draft of your website on Squarespace or Showit (whichever platform you choose!). Not only do you get to see a live link of your website, but we record a walk-through video to show you behind-the-scenes of design decisions. Pretty cool, right!?

From there, it’s feedback time! We’ll get your feedback, apply it, and make sure everything still relates back to those business and website goals you put together on day one.

When everything is pretty damn close to finished, we’ll determine a launch date to show off your new website to the world! Typically the entire process for your website takes about 4-6 weeks, pending any time it takes for you to gather up content. All-in-all, your new brand and website is complete within 8-12 weeks from start to finish!
