The experience your client has when working with you is a BIG part of your brand. In fact, many of our clients have told us that their clients have made a decision to move forward with working with them (even at a higher price point than they had in mind!) simply because of an incredible first impression.

Before a client even becomes a client, they do their research first. They want to see the work you’ve done and they want to know that they’re not making a poor investment.

Once they’re interested, they’re going to want to find a way to contact you.

Don’t make them play “Where’s Waldo?” on your website, social media or ANYWHERE that your marketing content can be found.

Here are a few tips on where you can make sure your contact information is easily accessible:

  • Website Footer – The footer of your website is all the way at the bottom of your website. Add an email address or a link to your contact page here, too!
  • Website Contact Page – This might be a no-brainer, but make sure you have a simple form for your clients to complete on your contact page. Also, add in your email address, business hours, expectations on when they can expect to hear back from you and any other contact information you’re willing to share, just in case that contact form gets lost in the world wide web someplace. Yep, it DOES happen!
  • Instagram – You can add an email address or a link to your website contact page on Instagram! And, always make sure to check your messages. Sometimes messages from people who you haven’t yet talked to (even prospective clients!) can land in a message requests folder.
  • Facebook – If you have a business page for your business, make sure a link to your website, email address and any other contact information you’re comfortable sharing is listed here. You can even set up an automated message that will send back to anyone who sends you a message. You can include expectations right in this automated message!

 

Setting expectations with clients is one of the best things you can do to make sure your working relationship stays solid. Let them know how to contact you, when you’re in the office working and when they can expect to hear from you next. It’ll make your life, and theirs, so much easier!
